Minty Mojito

Minty Mojito

I doubled down on this light, refreshing, and somewhat swampy Minty Mojito made by my friend Amy. Muddle the mint with your fingers, take a glorious whiff, and put any pent up energy into the action. As you sip it, dream of drinking it naked, in an outdoor shower, all by yourself.

SIMPLE SYRUP

If you haven’t made simple syrup before it’s quick and so simple. No need to buy it. Ever.

1: 1 sugar and water

In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water, and bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved. Cool, then bottle. This makes approximately a cup.

Preparation—

1—Fill a medium sized tumbler glass with a lot of ice.

2— Add 2 shots of rum(the prettier the label the better).

3—Add 1 shot simple syrup.

4—Plop a quarter of a fresh lime into the glass. Squeeze another quarter into the mixture.

5—Muddle 5 large fresh mint leaves in your fingers, tearing a few, then place in glass.

6—Top with club soda, stir well, and drape a mint sprig over the glass for a bit of flair.
