Odette's Super Dirty Preserved Lemon Martini

My friend Alex introduced me to super dirty martinis loaded with olive juice. I discovered that preserved lemons take it to the next level. I use both the olive and the lemon brine, and the results are, well, intoxicatingly good.

Makes: 1 Martini


2 ounces gin 

1 ounce dry vermouth 

2 teaspoons green olive brine 

2 teaspoons preserved lemon brine 

A few green olives, for garnish

Preserved lemon rind, for garnish


Pour the gin, vermouth, olive brine and preserved lemon brine into a cocktail shaker or mixing glass filled with ice. Shake or stir 20 seconds, or until very well-chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a toothpick threaded with olives and a strip of preserved lemon rind. Bottoms up.
